Only the pages you need

Extract specific pages from a PDF into a new file

Pick the pages you need by clicking their thumbnails and save them as a new PDF. Useful when a recipient only needs part of a long document and you would rather not send the rest.

Select pages

Click thumbnails to choose the pages to extract. Selected pages are highlighted.

Why send the whole document?

A plan manager may only need the signature page. A support worker may only need the goals section. Sending a whole file when someone needs two pages shares more than necessary and makes the recipient hunt for what they need. Extracting the pages you want keeps the document focused.

How it works

How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Open Extract Pages from Document Tools.
  2. Choose the PDF and click Upload PDF & Select Pages.
  3. Click the thumbnails of the pages you want to keep. Click again to deselect.
  4. Click Extract Selected Pages and wait for the file to finish processing.
  5. Download the new PDF and check it contains the pages you expected.
Why it matters

Share what is needed, and no more

Pick pages visually

You choose pages from thumbnails, so there is no page-number syntax to get wrong.

One new PDF

The pages you select are put together into a single new file.

Supports data minimisation

Sending only the relevant pages helps you share what the recipient needs. It does not replace redaction where a kept page still holds details that should not go out.

Your original stays intact

Extraction creates a new file. The original document is not changed.

Accountability

Every action is tied to the staff member who ran it and timestamped. Output files are automatically deleted after a set retention window, so you stay audit-ready without the file clutter.

Common questions

Extract PDF Pages FAQ

How do I choose which pages to extract?

After uploading, the tool shows a thumbnail of every page. Click the pages you want and they are highlighted.

Can I extract pages that are not next to each other?

Yes. Select any combination of pages, for example pages 2, 3 and 5.

Does extracting remove the other pages from my original?

No. You download a new PDF containing the selected pages, and your original is untouched.

Is extracting the same as redacting?

No. Extracting keeps whole pages. If a page you keep contains names, addresses or plan numbers that should not be shared, use a redaction tool as well.

What if I want every page as its own file?

Use Split into Pages, which creates a separate PDF for every page.

Who can use it?

Access is controlled in Admin Tools. You decide which staff can use Document Tools.
